Round 17 and the Finale of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Series came to a conclusion in Salt Lake City Saturday night. The 250 Class was pure fireworks with the East and West Coasts doing battle for the showdown race! Garret Marchbanks was the top finisher with an impressive ride from falling in the first corner to 11th in the main. With that finish Garrett was able to finish 6th place overall in the 250 West Coast points standings. Coty Schock of the FXR/Chaparral Honda Team and Logan Karnow of the International Race Team were both able to get in to the Showdown as well. Schock went on to get 18th after a crash and finished 9th in the 250 West Championship. Karnow finished 20th on the night and 10th place overall in the 250 East Championship. In the 450 class Kyle Chisholm showed a ton of grit and determination. After being out the past 2 races with a shoulder injury Chisholm showed up and was able to grab a 15th place finish in the main event. Kyle secured 19th in the 450 championship with that ride. Other riders able to make the 450 main in Salt Lake City were Freddie Noren in 20th and Joan Cros in 21st. Look for racing to continue on May 29th with the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series kicking off in Pala, California.
