The latest stop on the Amsoil Championship Snocross tour brought us to the wild west in Deadwood, South Dakota; known for its history of attracting gamblers, gunslingers, and gold seekers. Nowadays, one of the biggest attractions in Deadwood is clearly the Snocross races. The stands were jam-packed both Friday and Saturday nights with the most enthusiastic crowd of fans.

As usual, our FXR racers did not disappoint, scoring 23 total podiums throughout the weekend.

We started the weekend off right, with two of our FXR racers up on the box for the Sport Lite final. Jake Belair #228 took 3rd and Devin Malcein #720 finished in 2nd.

Take away a ski, and these two will show you how it’s done—William Van Hook III #88 took 3rd in the Snowbike final and Tyler Vacala #515, your current points leader, scooped up his first ever 1st.

Emilia Dahlgren #79 was back on the box, taking 2nd in Friday night’s Pro Am Women final. Taven Woodie #873 scored her first big win in this class.

Martin Moland #75 shown his face on the podium for the third time this season, finishing 3rd in Friday’s Pro Lite final.

Kyle Pallin #324 made another exciting appearance on Friday night’s Pro podium. Kyle scooped up a 3rd place finish and couldn’t stop smiling about it.

We kicked off Saturday’s races with two familiar faces on top of the podium. Addison Bourdages #330 landed a 2nd place finish in the JR Girls 9-13 final, and Sophia Hulsey #800 with her fourth 1st place podium finish of the season.

In the Transition 8-10 final, Brady Freeland #831 finished in 3rd and Cameron Cole #747 took the win.

Ben Wilbert #323 made an exciting podium appearance on Saturday, scoring 2nd in his JR 14-15 final.

Riley Johnson #106 has been a fast and consistent racer this entire season. Riley came in 2nd in the 200 Stock final, and also had the fastest lap time.

Your points leader, Drew Freeland #821, made it back on the podium, landing a big win and also having the fastest lap time in the JR 10-13 final.

Wrapping up Saturday morning’s string of finals, Brody Hasenack #722 took the 3rd place spot on the box in the Transition 9-13 final.

Devin Malcein #720 made his second podium of the weekend, taking 2nd in the Sport Lite final.

Racing under the lights to start off the night races right, Carter Meyeraan #125 scored himself a 2nd place in the 120 Champ final. Brady Freeland #831 made his second podium appearance of the day, landing on top of the box Saturday night.

Both Elina Ohman #17 and Malene Andersen #93 had great days of racing. Elina went 2-1 in her heats and took the 3rd spot on the box in Saturday night’s Pro Am Women final. Malene went 1-1 in her heats and landed in 2nd for the final.

After winning his second round, Aki Pihlaja #128 kept the momentum going into his Pro Lite final where he raced his way to 2nd place.

Kody Kamm #1 had quite the race in Saturday night’s Pro final. Kody got the holeshot and was running in first the entire race. Despite battling through lap traffic and heavy, wet roost Kody still managed to make the fastest lap time. Unfortunately, on the very last lap of the race, Tucker Hibbert caught him in lap traffic and Kody finished off the weekend in 2nd.

We would also like to wish FXR racer, Kaden Woodie #980 a speedy recovery after his accident in Saturday night’s Sport final. Kaden underwent emergency facial reconstruction surgery and is now doing well and expected to recover quickly. Hope to see you back at it soon, Kaden!

We’ll see you all in Salamanca, NY on February 16th – 17th for rounds 9 & 10 of Amsoil Championship Snocross!
