Stop #2 on the Amsoil Championship Snocross tour brought us to the Dubuque County Fairgrounds. Snocross has been making the annual stop in Dubuque, Iowa for six years now—this year being the third time at the fairgrounds. Cool temps leading up to the race weekend allowed the crew to blow ample amounts of snow, making for a massive track.

 

FXR athletes added another weekend of success to the books, taking home 48 total medals.

STOCK 200

Trenton Peterson #28 cashed in two solid days of racing, claiming double 2nd place podium finishes over the weekend.

Gvanni D’Antonio #990 placed 1st in both of his heats on Saturday and went on to take 3rd in the final.

120 CHAMP

 

Tavin Knudson #722 placed a consistent 2-2 in his heat races on Saturday and scored 3rd in the final.

Jaxon Houkom #407 earned double heat race wins and claimed the #2 spot on the box in Saturday night’s 120 Champ final.

Avery Hemmer #415 continued to dominate the 120 Champ class over the weekend, earning triple wins to round off Saturday’s races.

TRANSITION 8-10 

Racing in multiple classes, Avery Hemmer #415 made another podium appearance over the weekend—taking 3rd in Friday’s Transition 8-10 final after going 2-3 in her heats.

Riley Johnson #106 had nearly a perfect weekend. Johnson went 1-1-1 on Friday and 1-1-2 on Saturday.

JR GIRLS 9-13

After placing 1-2 in her heat races, Cecily Bernaiche #24 claimed the 3rd spot on the box in the JR Girls 9-13 final.

Victoria Dillon #609 went 2-3 in her heat races on Saturday and moved on to take 2nd in the final.

Consistent Kendall Rose #1 wrapped up the weekend with a perfect score, with double heat race wins and a 1st place podium finish.

TRANSITION 9-13

After going 1-1 in his heat races on Friday, Caiden Pflipsen #323 took 2nd place in the final.

 

Tanner Johnson #313 scored a perfect 1-1-1 in the Transition 9-13 class on Friday.

Trenton Hilmerson #515 placed an impressive 2-1 in his heat races and scored 3rd in Saturday’s Transition 9-13 final.

After double heat race wins, Colin Taggart #159 went on to claim the big win in Saturday’s final.

JR 10-13

Colin Taggart #159 made his second podium appearance of the weekend, this time in the JR 10-13 class, after going another 1-1 in his heat races.

Brady Freeland #831 scored 2-1 in his heat races on Saturday and went on to take 2nd in the JR 10-13 final.

JR 14-15

Deegan Johnson #369 had much success over the weekend, taking 3rd place in both Friday and Saturday’s JR 14-15 final.

After scoring 7-4 in his heats on Friday, Kaden Helsel #70 claimed 2nd in the final.

Thor David Rasmus #106 placed 2-6 in his heat races on Saturday and went on to take 2nd in the JR 14-15 final.

Isaac Peterson #612 looked fast over the weekend, earning 3 heat race wins and 1st place podium finishes on both Friday and Saturday.

JR 16-17

Connor Campbell #313 took 3rd place in the JR 16-17 final after going 4-2 in his heats.

Cade Fleming #433 claimed the #2 spot on the box after placing 1-6 in his heat races.

Shaping up to be the guy to beat, Jan Even Romsdal #117 went 2-1 in his heat races on Saturday and claimed the big win in the JR 16-17 final.

SPORT LITE

Jan Even Romsdal #117 earned two podium finishes in the Sport Lite class over the weekend—taking 2nd place on both Friday and Saturday night.

 

Cameron Cole #747 claimed the big win in Saturday night’s Sport Lite final after going 1-5 in his heat races.

SPORT

Zak Farmer #407 claimed two big podium finishes over the weekend. Farmer went 3-1 in his heats on Friday and took 2nd in the final. On Saturday, Farmer went 2-2 in his heats and claimed 3rd in the final.

Jeremy Beaulieu #122 went 4-1 in his heat races on Saturday and moved on to take 2nd in the Sport final.

PRO AM PLUS 30

Seth Engel #447 earned an exciting 3rd place podium finish after going 2-1 in his heats on Saturday.

Andy Lieders #57 continued his success with another perfect weekend, scoring 1-1-1 for the day.

PRO SNOWBIKE

Jesse Kirchmeyer #1 went 4-1 in his moto’s on Friday, resulting in a 2nd place overall. On Saturday, Kirchmeyer was back on top of the box after earning double wins in his moto’s.

Troy Horbaty #157 placed an impressive 1-2 in his moto’s on Friday, claiming the big overall win. On Saturday, Horbaty placed 2-2 in his moto’s which resulted in 2nd place overall.

PRO AM WOMEN

Taven Woodie #873 placed 1-2 in her heats on Friday and 3-4 in her heats on Saturday. Woodie earned double 3rd place podium finishes to round off her weekend.

Malene Cottew #93 was back to racing over the weekend, after suffering a deep bone bruise in Shakopee. Cottew went 1-1 on Friday and took 2nd in the final. On Saturday, a determined Cottew was back on top of the box after going 2-1 in her heat races.

PRO LITE

Taylor Cole #714 has a history of success in Dubuque, and this weekend proved to be no different. Cole claimed the #3 spot on the box in Saturday night’s Pro Lite final after going a consistent 4-4 in his heat races.

Hemmer Motorsports’ Nick Lorenz #572 was the Pro Lite #1 qualifier on both Friday and Saturday nights. Lorenz went 1-1 in his heat races both days and went on to claim 3rd and 2nd place podium finishes over the weekend.

PRO

Hentges Racing’s Oskar Norum #40 claimed a 3rd place podium finish on Friday. Norum lead the final for over half of the race, but settled for 3rd after an off set him back.

Also racing for Hentges Racing, Kody Kamm #53 earned his first podium finish of the season, taking 3rd place in Saturday night’s Pro final after going 6-3 in his heat races.

We have a one week break and then we’re headed to the wild west of Deadwood, SD for Rounds 5 & 6 of Amsoil Championship Snocross January 28th & 29th!
