FXR athletes struck gold, silver, and bronze in Deadwood! The third stop on the 2021 Amsoil Championship Snocross tour brought us to historic Deadwood, South Dakota where FXR athletes battled in the bull ring at the Days of ’76 rodeo grounds.

STOCK 200
 
Coming off of a 2nd place finish in his final in Dubuque, Tristian Hinton #313 kept his momentum going into Deadwood where he scored the big win in the Stock 200 class.

120 CHAMP
Kooper Groen #172 went 1-2 in his heat races and raced to 3rd in Saturday’s 120 Champ final.

Aiden Pierson #710 was back on the box with another 2nd place for the second race weekend in a row.

 

TRANSITION 8-10 

Zach Miller #261 has been consistently making podiums every weekend this season. Miller took home another 3rd place medal over the weekend after going 2-2 in his heats.

JR GIRLS 9-13

Currently sitting 2nd in points, Avery Hemmer #415 claimed 3rd place in the JR Girls 9-13 final on Saturday after scoring 1-2 in her heats.

Ava McCurdy #42 raced her way to a 2nd place podium finish.

Kendall Rose #120 has had a nearly perfect season so far, winning every single race, with the exception of a 2nd in one of her heat races back at ERX. Rose went 1-1-1 for the weekend in Deadwood and is the current points leader in the JR Girls 9-13 class.

TRANSITION 9-13

Cameron Cole #747 had another successful weekend, going 1-2 in his qualifiers and taking 3rd in the final.

 

Trenton Hilmerson #515 made his first podium appearance of the season, claiming the #2 spot in Saturday’s Transition 9-13 final.

Tanner Johnson #313 scored a perfect 1-1-1 in the Transition 9-13 class.

JR 10-13

Tanner Johnson #313 snagged his second podium of the day, placing 2nd after going 2-1 in his heat races.

After scoring 2-1 in his heats, Cameron Cole #747 also made his second podium appearance of the day, claiming the win in the JR 10-13 final.

JR 14-15

Crossover athlete, Steven Max #151, racing both snowbikes and snowmobiles, took 3rd place in Saturday’s JR 14-15 final.

Connor Campbell #331 went 3-3 in his heat races and scored 2nd in the final.

Triple wins for Domenic Hegman #113 in the JR 14-15 class on Saturday.

JR 16-17

Currently sitting 4th in points, Tanner Zierden #816 went 4-4 in his heat races and claimed the 3rd spot on the box in the final.

Domenic Hegman #113 is proving to be a serious threat in the JR classes. Hegman scored another perfect 1-1-1 in the JR 16-17 class after a perfect 1-1-1 in the JR 14-15 class on Saturday. Hegman is your current points leader.

SPORT LITE

After a heat race win, Gavin Hemmer #555 kept his momentum going into Saturday night’s Sport Lite final where he scored an exciting 3rd place podium finish.

Current points leader, Kellen Chapuran #254, continued his success over the weekend. Chapuran claimed his 4th straight Sport Lite win on Friday after going 1-2 in his heats. On Saturday, a crash in one of Chapuran’s heat races resulted in a battle though the LCQ and back-row start in the final where Chapuran raced to a 2nd place podium finish.

PRO LITE SNOWBIKE 

Steven Max #42 claimed double wins in the Pro Lite Snowbike class over the weekend.

SPORT

Kenny Mandryk #102 was back with a vengeance after mechanical issues bogged him down in Iowa. Mandryk won three of his four qualifying races over the weekend and scored two podium finishes—1st on Friday and 2nd on Saturday. Mandryk is currently sitting 3rd in the points race.

 

Eric Downs #129 has a history of success in Deadwood—scoring his first Sport win last year—and now claiming another big win this past Saturday night.

PRO AM PLUS 30

Andy Lieders #57 breezed through his qualifying races with double wins. Lieders went on to also claim the win in Saturday night’s Pro Am Plus 30 final.

PRO SNOWBIKE

Troy Horbaty #157 was consistent and smooth over the weekend, going 2-2 in his moto’s on both Friday and Saturday, resulting in a 2nd place overall finish both nights.

 

Jesse Kirchmeyer #1 is currently undefeated this season—having won every single moto. Kirchmeyer brought home double golds again over the weekend. Kirchmeyer is leading the class in points by nearly 50 points.

PRO AM WOMEN

Tausha Lange #214 claimed her first podium finish of the season on Friday. Lange went 4-8 in her heat races and went on to take 3rd in Friday night’s Pro Women final. Lange is now 4th in overall points.

Brandishing red plates, Malene Andersen #93 furthered her points lead over the weekend with double podium finishes. In her qualifiers, Andersen went 2-1-1-5 and claimed a 1st place podium finish on Friday and 2nd place on Saturday.

PRO LITE

Coming off of a huge win in Iowa, Theo Poirer #728 claimed a 2nd place podium finish in Friday night’s Pro Lite final. Poirer is currently 6th in the points race.

Adam Peterson #113 furthered his points lead, claiming his 4th podium finish of the season. Peterson went 4-1 in his heat races on Saturday and took 2nd in the final.

PRO

Hentges Racing dominated Deadwood with podiums on both Friday and Saturday nights. Oskar Norum #42 climbed to 2nd in overall points with a 2nd place podium finish Friday night.

 

After being sidelined last season due to injury, Kody Kamm #53 made his first podium appearance of the season Friday night with a 3rd place in the final after winning both of his heat races. On Saturday, Kamm went 3-3 in his heats and finished 2nd in the final. Kamm jumped from 10th to 4th in points over the course of one weekend.

After a bit of a struggle in his heat races over the weekend, Elias Ishoel #200 pulled it together Saturday night where he claimed the win. Ishoel is the current points leader in the Pro class, sitting 26 points ahead of Oskar Norum in 2nd.

 

We have another quick turnaround this week as we head to stop #2 on the Dakota Swing—Fargo, North Dakota—for rounds 7 & 8 of Amsoil Championship Snocross. See you there February 5-6th!
